Jasraj Singh Sandhu, a student of Pace Junior Science College, Andheri won 2 Gold Medals in fencing. Continuing the winning streak, Rajvi Savla secured second position and Riya Gharat secured seventh position in Chess competition. These students were awarded with the medals and certificates for their excellent performances.

This is her yet another achievement after securing first position in Discus Throw in the same event hosted by Bombay City District Amateur Athletic Association (BCDAAA). She competed amongst girls’ under-18 group and won Bronze Medal with her performance 8.62 meters in Shot Put.

Of numerous participated students in this District level championship, Saumya Saxena, a student of Class-12 at Pace Junior Science College, Dadar secured first position in Discus Throw under 18 Group amongst girls. Setting the benchmark, Saumya Saxena marked a distance of 23.43 meters in this championship. With this performance, she set a state record under Girls/U/18.
Bombay City District Amateur Athletic (BCDAA) is a governing body of Athletics in Mumbai. It is affiliated to Maharashtra Athletics Association and Athletics Federation of India. It organizes an Annual Athletics Championship and other sports event in Mumbai for various age groups. It selects the athletes from Mumbai city for various State-level and National-level Athletics events.
